Sharing your Passion, Ideas, and Voice with the World
Presentation by Dr. Jane Bluestein
The author of 19 books (so far!) explores various dimensions– practical, strategical, and emotional– of writing books and getting them published!
Having started as a self-published author after writing a 400+ page survival manual for the beginning teachers in her Intern program, Dr. Bluestein has since worked with nearly a dozen different publishers in a rapidly changing industry.
Topics include identifying your market, pitching your project (including writing a terrific proposal), contract issues, dealing with rejections, media and promotions, things you never imagine could go wrong, distributing your own materials, finding your voice, and options such as self-publishing and e-books. A great presentation for writers groups and learners. Emphasis on non-fiction.
